Do POP pools have shade/umbrellas?

We usually stay at Art of Animation, which has umbrellas at the main pool and “cone cabanas” at one of the smaller ones. Wondering what the shade situation is at POP pools, as we’re thinking about booking there for our August trip. We enjoy spending our afternoons poolside, but shade is a must for me because of my fair complexion. Thanks for any info!

They have some chairs and tables with umbrellas around the pools. But they are popular. ;-)

There are several umbrella tables and chairs right outside the fence around the Hippy Dippy pool. We spend two weeks there every August and we've always found a table in the afternoon.

We stayed in the 70's section. Our pool had the table and chairs outside of the gated pool area. It was very hot and sunny, so it would have been nice to have umbrellas closer to the water.

Thanks for the info everyone, might have to just stick with Art of Animation then if the POP umbrellas are at tables outside the fenced in pool area. I love me an afternoon nap on a chaise in the shade!

If pools are important to you, then I definitely would stick to AOA. Maybe you could take the time to walk over and explore Pop to see if it would work for you on your next trip.

Not nearly enough, was really difficult to get a shady spot in February.

I think all WDW resorts could use more pool umbrellas. Esp in summer when you’re roasting.

Agreed! I carry a parasol around in the parks to avoid getting fried!
