Do people bring their own beach towels?

Do you need them for CC?

What size are the beach towels on board & at CC?

I saw hardly anyone with their own towels. Most everyone used the towels by the pool. At Castaway Cay they hand out towels as you get off the ship.

I brought my own beach towel. The towels that they hand out are just a normal size towel u use in the shower. it was nice having a towel that went the whole length of the chair

The pool towels aren't as big a regular beach towel but we just used two. Loved putting the wet/dirty ones in the bin and forgetting about them.

When you go on shore excursions to the beach they had out towels also so you don't need your own unless you just prefer it. I didn't want to spend luggage space on towels.

We just use the towels from the ship...no point in taking up precious suitcase space with towels.

I didn't take any last time and I found the ones provided small. If I have room in my luggage I will bring some.

I didn't pack one only because I knew I was getting one for being a repeat cruiser. If I wasn't getting that one I would have packed one for sure. The ones they give you are small and I like a nice big wrap around towel at the beach. I bought my daughter a nice pink princess one next to the pool the first day.

We brought our own beach towels from home because we had some room in the suitcase and DH wanted large fluffy towels to wrap around the children after they were in the water. It was also nice because it made it easier to find my chair again after going to get a drink or something. The towels provided by DCL are fine, but small and somewhat thin, but they are plentiful and easy!
