Does anyone know whether competitors of Southwest drop their fares when SW finally starts selling tickets for certain time periods? In markets where there is competition for the routes to Orlando, is there a better chance of seeing a fare decrease the day Southwest announces it's fares?

Just wanted to know if anyone has ever noticed this?

Just subscribing to the thread. I've been watching the other airlines too and would like to hear the answers.

From my experiences, it usually takes a day or two to notice the other airlines price decreases, but you can USUALLY count on them coming down. :thumbsup2

I personally am waiting to book my December airfare until SW posts that schedule!

I have had absolutely no luck with Southwest. When there are Dings, they're gone before I can get to them, even I'm sitting at the computer.

Maybe it's because I'm in such a large city. :confused3
