Even though I know I can cut them it would be soooo much easier to have some for my kids. Its easlier to pack the unused ones for a day in the park. Anyone know where I can find kid size cheap ponchos? I have looked at all the retailers around here so I guess I am left with an online order.

I actually found disposable "raincoats" (not ponchos) for my kids at Walmart. They come all folded up in a nice pounch for just a few dollars. They work better for the little ones because they are not flapping around their legs. The one I bought for DS was a bit long last time so I just cut the bottom off with scissors and rolled up the sleeves. Worked great. But I prefer the ponchos for myself and DH, as we can put it over the backpack and keep that dry as well. I have found the ponchos and raincoats both at Walmart in red, navy, and yellow. Even with the new clear ponchos they have at WDW, I still think it will be easier to find my family in bright colors!
Also, to address the question about "does it rain in January?" Well, YES!! Probably not as often as in July, but when we were there in 01/2002, we spent an entire day at the MK in the rain. It certainly kept the lines short!! And it was not terribly cold. We all wore shorts under our ponchos! We did bring a change of sox to use half-way through the day. And our pictures from that day are certainly not BRIGHT, but we still had fun.
My SIL just asked me yesterday "what are you going to do if it rains? Stay at the hotel?" WHAT!!!!!!!! And waste a whole day at WDW....... NO WAY!! Is that what people do??? I never even dreamed of doing that. Apparently she didn't remember my stories from our last trip about what a great day we had, even in the rain at MK. So put on your ponchos and keep going! (Although if you want to stay in your room and make the lines shorter for me and my family, I won't object!

BTW, look for the kids and adult ponchos/raincoats in the accessories dept at Walmart, near umbrellas and pocketbooks and backpacks.............P
