Our 90 day countdown is rapidly approaching and we are getting ready for the CRT calling mornings...but with park hours not out yet for April I am not sure of our daily itinerary yet so do not want to make our other PS's...is it going to be hard to get PS's at places like Le Cellier, Ohana, and 1900 Park Fare breakfast too...do I need to make them now or is 60 days usually enough?

The places you've named can fill up year-round, and April can be very busy. If you really want to eat at those places, you can go ahead and make PS's based on previous year's park hours. You can always try to change your PS times later if you need to.

Except for the biggies, 60 days is plenty. I usually make mine about 30 days out, but I travel offpeak.

60 days is usually more than enough lead time for PS. At 1pm today, I made PS for the exact time I wanted at Le Cellier for this Sunday (1/9)!

Now I don't expect that to happen all of the time, but, in the past ,30 days has been more than enough lead time as long as you're willing to have a 1/2 hour window earlier or later than the desired time.

If the places you listed are places you feel you MUST eat at, or if you feel you need specific times, I'd go ahead and make them at the 90 day mark. As another poster said, you can always adjust later.

I find that historical park hours to be a great help in trip planning. Look at the same DAY of the week from last year, not the date! For example Apr 15 was a Thursday last year but is a Friday in '05, so you would want to look at Apr 16 '04 to get park times for Apr 15 '05.

I did this on my last trip in Dec. 04, and everything from 2003 was identicle to 2004, including parade/fireworks times and MVMCP dates. I couldn't have done it without looking at the historical park times! Of course there's always a chance that they can change the times, but at least this gives you a place to start. Here's a link!

Looking at historical data for probable hours works well except in March and April. This because of Easter. Last year Easter was mid-April this year it is late March. The hours (especially MK) for the week before and week of Easter are much later than other weeks of March and April. You have to be able to compare apples to apples.

I agree with other posters. If you are flexible with your dining times, 60 days should be plenty far enough ahead for almost all restuarants. Good luck to you.

----- sorry about the double post. fat fingers.

That's true, I didn't think about Easter! Sorry!
