Do most people leave AK after the parade??

We totally missed the AK parade when we went in December, but I'm determined to see it this time.
We are relying on busses at transportation.
On the day we planning to be at AK we are also planning to have dinner at Chef Mickey's.
I'm trying to figure out when to make my PS for Chef Mickey. I'm unsure if it's a madhouse after the parade is over with people exiting the park.
I was planning on making my PS for 6pm.
We went to AK 2 days in Dec. Both days we had to wait a loooong time for any bus to arrive. Tons of people waiting at all the bus stops, and some for over an hour. This was in the early afternoon both times.

Do you think that a PS at Chef Mickey for 6pm if I leave directly after the parade and head straight for Contemporary after boarding a bus to TCC and then hop a monorail is too early?

I can't remember what time the AK parade is. (It is my favorite parade from the four parks by the way!) But there are a lot of people who leave right after the parade. If you are relying on Disney transportation, you may want to make your ressie for a little bit later just to be on the safe side.

yes it is a mass exit after the parade but you can actually sit right the entrance walking in and be the first ones out after the last float passes. We have done this twice and it works out great.

The AK parade is at 4. There is a mass exit after the parade - makes riding the safari and Kali RR after the parade easy. Why not schedule CM for 1 hour after park close so you can stay at AK after it slows down?

Other than wanting to ride the monorail (which is what I like to do) is there any reason you couldn't take the Contemporary bus directly from AK to the hotel? Wouldn't that give you a lot more time?
We did get several attractions done after the parade, as people do really clear out by then. Maybe a 6:30 ADR/PS @ Ch. Mickey's?
