would it be less out of place during the summer to be on the monorail, boats, buses, walking around in bathing suits than during the rest of the yr?
(Of course Id be wearing shorts)

I would say that you'd fit right in with lots of others who dress that way. However, I would suggest that you wear a top as well as shorts over your suit. There are plenty of people who aren't all that interested in seeing people in bathing suits (and uncovered skin) away from the pool or beach.

sorry - I agree I dont want to scare anyone
I would be wearing a tank top not a bikini top
I dont walk too far w/just a bikini top on although Imy weight is at goal/maintenance

I have never seen anyone in their bathing suits on the monorails. The people I've seen on the buses that come from the water parks were wearing cover ups or shirts.

Don't recall seeing bathingsuits on the Monorails, but yes, on the buses. :mickeybar

Just curious- why would you wear a swimsuit anyplace other than at the pools?

to get to the other pools (DVCers - should this be on DVC board?)
I can understand not seeing many while at the MK resorts - only WL is a DVC resort
do you see more ppl walking around at the Boardwalk - BC ppl hopping to BCV? vice versa?
using transportation from BCV to use Coronado Springs pool?

Seems through the years we've seen more and more "inappropriate" swim attire being worn around all of WDW. Don't get me wrong, we aren't a prudish family by any means, but a string bikini top on a woman who is 40 pounds overweight is a terrible thing to behold :sad2: I would hope that you would wear something over each section of your swim suit to remain comfortable and family-friendly. Plus, it gets downright cold in some of that attractions with the AC on full blast!
I realize the CMs can't police dress code as close as they would probably like to, but sure wish some folks would look in a full length mirror before they leave their resort room dressed for the day. I swear some must only look from the neck up :confused3

I have no ideal what some of these people are thinking when they leave out of the hotel rooms.
