Do many people know of alternates to buses?

MIL and SIL visited yesterday. They said well you just hop on the buses and switch parks. I told them no there was a boat besides the bus btween MGM and EpCot. Boat to MK from Wilderness Lodge. If we want we can boat to Contemp from WL, get on monorail to TTC and switch to EpCot monorail. Do many people know of this alternate transportation? They have never stayed onsite. I realize the boats and monrail routes may be longer but I believe more fun than the bus whenever possible.

Typically, the boats provide transportation to/from a resort, and the resort guests do know of the transportation.
