Me and my DH and son want to go to Disneyland in early November of 2006. I dont want to start booking now because i'm not 100% sure were going to be able to do this trip. I was curious if last minute deals to Disney exist. We would know by the beginning or middle of October if we can go. Any advice and or websites that offer great last minute deals would be great.

Thanks

Lisa

PS. Were not planning on staying at any of the Disneyland resorts so i'm not stressed about getting any particular hotel.

A lot of times you can get good deals thru the online travel sites- expedia, travelocity, etc for your hotel. But dont rule out AAA and Disney travel. If you aren't picky about hotel you can often book thru them without a lot of notice. That way you get some of the extra little perks they offer.

Airfare if you are planning on flying is probably going to be the most expensive part and you dont want to wait to long on that. It will be more if you book to close or your dates.

Your best bet is to do everything separately, and not use a "package" with any company. That's not a real crowded time, so it shouldn't be a problem. Check with the websites of any hotels you want to stay at for their best prices. I've hardly ever found a better deal on expedia or travelocity than the hotel's own website. Then call the hotel directly, tell them what the website says, and see if they have anything better (through a AAA discount, etc.) Check tripadvisor.com and mouseplanet.com for hotel reviews. I'd recommend the walking distance motels along Harbor for the best location. That way you can walk to the parks without having to pay for parking.

You can get tickets through www.ARESTravel.com for a bit cheaper than the Disney website. Also, many credit unions and employee unions sell tickets. My husband works for a government lab, and we can always get park hoppers WAY cheaper than at the gate or through the Disney website.

If you want any advanced dining reservations, just call and see if they are still available. If not, just show up at the restaurant you want right at opening time for the meal you want, and there's usually room.

I'll bet even at the last minute, you'll do a lot better than many who've planned for months ahead and gotten a package from Disney!

Good luck!
