We are a family of 6... kids ages 6,5, 4 and 2. Would we be able to stay in a room w/max occupancy of 5 provided the 2 yo sleeps in a crib? I thought I read that somewhere... also since she wouldn't have a regular ticket, would she require a "Room Key" to present for EMH? I don't want to do anything "wrong" -- but I'm a bit confused on this b/c I thought I read if you have 4 in a room plus an infant that is ok (in a room w/4 pp occupancy)... don't know if it applies to 5 pp occupancy.

My kids didn't need a room key or park ticket to get into EMH when they were under 3. The only way it would be a problem is if your toddler tried to go to EMH by himself. I can just picture my 2 year old trying to do this! :rotfl2:

I think you can put 6 in a room with a 2 year old, but I would suggest one of the deluxes with a larger room--like the Poly or Contemporary. Otherwise you might be driving each other nuts.

thanks! I was just wondering if that changed since the new evening EMH... did you happen to do those?

A two year old has never needed a room key at WDW, so I don't think they'd require one now either. They probably wouldn't get a wristband (how many two yr olds would want to wear one for more than 5 minutes?) at any one the EMHs either.

Mine was just under 3-yes she really was- and she did not have a room key, but they still put a wristband on her. Why I have no idea. This was the first week EMH evenings started.

It's only 5 if you are staying at the Value resorts. We have us and 7 yr, 4 yr, and 2 yr. They said we can stay in 1 room if my 2 yr still slept in crib. I said YEP she does! You may be able to do 6 though at a Moderate though.

I had the same first thought as you :rotfl2: you know those two year olds, just when you fall asleep, they tie their bedsheets together by knots, slip out the bedroom window.....Lord only knows what they are REALLY up to in the wee (no pun intended) hours! :moped: :rockband: :dancer: :drinking1 :music: :thewave: the possibilities are endless :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

the kabuki, they made your under-3 wear a wristband? That doesn't make any sense at all (not directed at you, btw) for Disney. The child doesn't have a ticket, so why would they give her a wristband?

Bugsy--I have visions of my son grabbing his blankie, going out the sliding glass door of our Contempory lower level wing room, and toddling down the walkway to MK.:cool1: When he gets to the turnstiles, he'll say, "I'm here to see Pooh... and Mickey."

I was going to post somthing similar but with regard to an E-night. My youngest was two and I was required to get her a wristband. FWIW she was only 2 1/2and the CM came close to "badgering" her when "engaging" her about her age. She was tiny at two and didn't speak all that well so I finally ended that game.

OTOH if your allowed 4+the infant or 5+the infant you will get a card for each memeber of the family anyway, even the under 3 child. My sil stayed at CS with her ds 3 and dd 1 and got a card for everyone specificly to use for emh's. I will ask her how the process went esp for the evening hours when I speak with her.

Best bet is just to go ahead and get the room card for her.

How does the fast pass work for those who are uder 3 if they don't have a ticket or room key? Thanks

No Fast Pass ticket needed for an under 3. For example, if a couple and a 2 year old are in the parks, the couple would use their tickets to get fast passes -- then when it was time to ride, the two fast passes would be accepted for the 3 of them.

Hope that helps!
