DH and I found several bottles from 1985 but the oldest one we found was from 1981! We tossed them and bought new spices last week.

I think when I moved I had some from the mid 70s when I was married the first time! Needless to say, they didn't come with us to this house!

A friend of mine swears she has the same black pepper from when she was first married (almost 30 years ago).

Yes you win the prize...With confidence I can say that the oldest we have is from 1994 - the last time we moved!

We cleaned out our spices this weekend- the oldest we found was from 2000 so not too bad.
