Do I REALLY Need To Do FP's 60 Days Out?

If we're not going to see Anna and Elsa, how important is it to get FP's on my 60 day mark? We are going in September and usually never have too many problems getting FP's and even changing FP's on the same day.

September will be interesting to watch. Once hard ticket party season gets under way, there are less hours that FP+ is operating. Last year it seems like it was harder to get FPs during the slower fall months than it was during peak seasons. Nobody knows if that is because of having fewer hours available or because they cut back capacity on some attractions (maybe fewer pairs of A/E meeting?). But it was hard to miss the posts expressing frustration over FP availability for a lower crowd season.

NEED to ... no. Especially if you don't want A&E and SDMT.

September is usually a lower crowd period, obviously. That being said, if you want specific TIMES for the rides that you want, I would book as soon as possible. Just to give you the best chance at getting what you want

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that chart just shows that there is SOME availability. It doesn't mean that the FPs are available at the times you want. If you're interested in specific times, I'd book sooner rather than later.

Can't think of any harm in going ahead and booking something if you have the chance to do so.

That's odd, because last September we were able to change times on Soarin, Mine Train, and Space Mtn within the same day with no problems.

You don't really NEED to do anything...

However if you take the time to make three selections for the park planned out you might get more out of your time

We were there Sept 9-19. Pretty low crowds overall, but we always do rope drop too.

I was just curious if it was after the parties started and it appears it was. Glad to hear a positive report. I wish I could tolerate the heat and could go in September.

Maybe if it's the busiest week of the year or if you have a very set day and time. I did most of my FP at the 60 day mark but left some open. Just went back this week at maybe 35 days and still got SDMT for the later days of our trip. Didn't check the others.

Fireworks and parades can go really fast as well.

With the new Wishes FP viewing sections, there appears to be more availability. Last night, I changed FPs from MSEP > Wishes for April 19th. All the mountains were still available but not A&E.

There seems to be a LOT more Wishes FPs around than ever before. I scheduled it since I can always change my mind later to something else up to the week before. But it seems from watching The Dibb site recently like all of a sudden there are tons available. Which leads me to believe the borderline value it had is perhaps gone.

I'll be looking for more reports over the coming weeks to see.
