Do I really need to call Disney for info about staying at their resort question

Thinking about staying at Disney resort before our March cruise. If we stay at one of their hotels, we will then take DCL transport to PC. I know it costs $39/pp each way for their transport. When I look at the DCL site it says to call for info about hotel and transport. When I look at the Disney resort page I can see the prices for each resort. Is their any reason for me to call DCL about the resorts? Will they give me a different price? Would rather not call unless there's some reason to that I'm not aware of. I'm still deciding on hotels and transport, so if I have to call to book I will, but not ready to do that. Thanks.

Unless you are DVC, the price or package price will be the same. Call Disney resort for information and booking.

Many times it makes more sense to book WDW and DCL separately. You can still book and pay for the transfers through DCL but stay at WDW and take advantage of any room discounts that may come up. Let your WDW hotel know you are doing DCL transfers and they will let you know what time to have your luggage ready and what time to meet the DCL bus.

Ok so I worked for DCL booking cruises and it’s much easier for them to link your cruise, room , and transportation all at 1 time so you don’t have to make a second call if you were planning on calling directly to DRC

Booking your WDW stay with DCL isn’t a good idea most of the time. They limit the number of nights you can stay and charge rack rate. The only upside is that the cost of the room is rolled into your cruise total cost, and is therefore covered by the DCL insurance policy, if you use it. There is no advantage in them knowing you are staying at WDW and/or going on DCL.

Adding DCL transport to existing WDW and DCL takes one phone call (or maybe a chat now ?).
