Do I-pods ever go on sale?

My niece wants one and I am way too cheap to shell out $250. I might consider $150.....

I bought refurbished ones from Apple directly. an ipod touch 2nd gen for $149 is an incredible deal! and it comes packaged as new with the same warranty

Major differences between the ipod touch second gen and the fourth gen. The screen on the fourth gen is so much sharper. It also can take pictures, which previous generations of ipod touches cant do. Plus it has face time which is not a feature that I need or want but for some reason my sons and daughter think its really cool to have. Im not even sure what it does on the ipod but I know that if your on the iphone you can talk and see the person your speaking to if they also have face time on there phone. Im not sure how this can be used on the ipod touch unless your using the wi fi connection and something like skype to make your phone calls.

iPods, video game systems, video games, iPads...those things never go on sale as people traditionally think of a sale. The stores will promote special "bundles" as enticement to purchase at their store since there is a level playing field as far as pricing goes.

An example of the bundles would be the one at Target last week. If you bought 2 video games, the 3rd one was free. Another example would be if you received a gift card if you purchased a system.

I don't think she cares about the face time thing, but she would probably like the pictures. I'll have to talk to her about it.

Costco was not given the right to carry the iPad so they are no longer going to carry Apple products. So... I'm guessing they will be coming down on their price as they clearance them out of their stores.
