If this is a repeat, I apologize in advance. However, I can't seem to find an answer for the question, "Do I pay tax on free dining items?". In example if I order a buffet item at $18.99, do I pay 6.5% for the tax?:confused3

I need to know if I should bring extra cash or calculate it in my budget.

Thanks a bunch!

You won't have to pay tax but you will have to pay gratuity.

You'll need extra money for tips, but tax is covered. And if you order anything else and pay OOP, obviously, you'll have to cover the tax on that.

Thanks! that totally helps. Now I can use that extra money I was calculating for a little treat for me! hmm maybe a perfume or someting from EPCOT. :cool1:
