Do I need waterproof make up for June at WDW?

I just tried Monistat Chafing Gel as a primer under my Bare Minerals Compact. I read that it was the same ingredient as high-end primers and only cost $6. I wore it on a hot/humid day when I was out at the soccer fields- no shade. At the end of the day my makeup looked like I had just applied it! I couldn't believe how well it worked, plus it made my makeup go on so smoothly.

I use Sephora brand waterproof eyeliner which stays on really well.

I just bought Loreal Voluminous water proof mascara in the gold tube. I did not like it at all. It did not make my eyelashes full at all and it was very dry. I need to find another mascara before I leave next week.

Non waterproof make-up definitely sweats/melts off. I gave up and just don't worry about it anymore. It's too stinkin hot to matter! :)

This is what I'm thinking for our August trip - my first time going in summer since 1991!! I wear makeup EVERY DAY, EVERYWHERE. I know I'll feel weird wearing none. But, I'm thinking I'll be so hot anyway, I don't want to have to bother or be worried about makeup, especially since my hair most likely won't be looking too great, either lol! However this thread is giving me some ideas I may try.......not sure which way I want to go yet :)

Just jumping in to say have a WONDERFUL, MAGICAL trip! I can't believe your trip is here! Talking to you about it in July last year (Club 33 day ;)) it seemed so far away and now it's here. I hope you enjoy your first WDW trip! Will you be doing a TR? It will be fun to read about WDW through a DL vet but WDW newbie.

To bring my post back on topic: I don't wear much make up at WDW because it's so hot. But I don't wear a whole lot of makeup anyways, at home, usually just a little foundation or powder.

Thank you! Hi! Good to talk to you again! That was one of the most amazing days in my life!
I have trouble believing it is finally here too. I feel like I'm cramming for a test, trying to pick up whatever tidbits I can before we leave. Not sure if I'll do a TR but will do a mini one at the very least.
Well, I picked up some water proof and long lasting type things and hopefully it helps. I don't want to look "over done" :rotfl2: I just don't want to look washed out in the photos. Thanks everyone!

That really was an amazing experience! Now you're making me think I should pick up some waterproof makeup!

I just wanted to chime in and say, if you are used to wearing makeup everyday, then wear some at Disney. A few years back, there were a few days I decided not to wear makeup......now I look back on those pictures and think  what was I thinking? :confused3 I have blonde eyelashes and so I look totally different without mascara. I use waterproof mascara at Disney.

Yeah, that would be me! :rotfl: Good point about doing what you are used to.

You do have a point there :scratchin I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I would either stay out of all pictures this trip, or just not show them to anyone outside immediate family:rotfl: But I'll probably feel better overall if I do what I normally do. Even if I don't put on a full face, just minimize and that way I'll still feel like myself. I'm easily swayed :thumbsup2
