We have never been. In 13 trips to WDW I have never rented a car. I am generally more then content to attend what is available. But as I read about Vero there doesn't seem to be anything within walking distance and only 1-2 restaraunts on site.

I am not big on driving from Orlando airport to Vero, is there a tiffany type service (nothing on their website).

We are going last few days of August up untill the day before Labor Day.

thanks

It's not a bad ride from Orlando but it is between an hour and an hour and a half. Round trip town car is probably more expensive than a rental car. That way you aren't restricted to the two restaurants and the pool snack bar on site.

Yes, you DEFINITELY need a car to really enjoy Vero. The resort is quite nice, but beyond the pool, beach, and two restaurants, there isn't a whole lot there.

I love Vero but I would need a rental car to stock up on little things for the room.

I did a Google search, looking for: MCO towncar Vero Beach

One towncar service wanted $190 each way. Another wanted $170 one way, or $320 roundtrip. (Those prices are before the tip.)

If you have a favorite towncar company, contact them and ask for a price quote, even if there's no rate to Vero shown on the company's website.

A taxi might be cheaper. According to the website of the Holiday Inn in Vero Beach, a taxi is $75 for the 99 mile, one-way trip from MCO. That seems low. My guess is that the information is old, and that the rate is now quite a bit higher.

Once you get to Vero Beach, you would need to stay within the resort, or rely on taxis.

As others have noted, a rental car is likely to cost less. But if you really would prefer not to drive, you could use a towncar service and/or taxis.
