do I need to link my memory maker to my acct?

I logged into the Disneyworld website and under My Reservation, it shows our resort reservation, tickets, dining reservations, fastpass+ reservations, and our memory maker. Does that mean that our memory maker is good to go once we get there and enter the parks or do I need to "activate" it somehow? It lists a confirmation and says that it's assigned to me. When I go the magic band list, it shows all of our bands as active.

I thought purchasing the memory makers package and having it showing up on my reservation doesn't mean that it's active because I thought once I activate it, it's good for 30 days.

Can someone help clarify this for me?

I'm pretty sure it becomes active the first time you use it!

Your Memory Maker is good to go as all your PhotoPass photos comprise your Memory Maker "file." Once you download a photo, that's when the timeframe begins for getting everything downloaded and edited.
