Do I need to complete online check-in to add Royal Gathering to “My Plans”?

I tried searching but couldn’t find the answer. Both online check-in and reservations for Royal Gathering open at 30 days. I don’t really care too much about PAT. Can I try to nab Royal Gathering at midnight without doing the check-in, then in the morning do the check-in and get PAT? I’m paid in full and able to make other reservations.

Booking onboard activities is typically separate from completing online check-in. I haven’t tried to book Royal Gathering. If it is booked the same as other activities, through My Activities, then you should be able to book without checking in. If it is part of the check-in process (like registering for the kids club) then you would need to do it as part of check-in.

Yes you can just book the Royal gathering at midnight and do online checkin later.

It’s across the whole fleet. I’m hoping it is because they might include a few characters that don’t identify as “princesses “. Fingers crossed for Moana!!
