Do I need the memory maker card?

i purchased memory maker online and it shows on my Disney experience that I purchased it. I have the email confirmation, however Disney still sent me the memory maker card. As I am packing for the trip I cannot find the memory maker card anywhere. Do I really need it? I'm thinking that since it shows I purchased on my Disney Experience I should be ok. Anyone know for sure?

I may be misunderstanding your question, but I will try to answer. Cards or magic bands are used to connect your pictures or videos with you or your group. For example, if your party poses on Main Street for a Disney photographer, that photographer will scan your magic band or card. During or shortly after your vacation, you can go to the site and get your pictures and videos. if everyone has magic bands, the pictures should automatically connect with MDE.

Disney understands that groups split up or that people may forget their existing card in their room. You can get a new card from any photographer or at Guest Services.

If I am correct, that was a courtesy card and misplacing it is not an an issue.

memory maker is somethign you activate online when your ready to start downloading your photopass photos and videos. the card as would be similar to the photopass cards and can be used to link your photos to your account. You can also use a magicband, your park ticket or other photopass cards that you cna get from any photographer (and you link those cards to your account when you have a moment so protect them until they are linked to you).
