Here are our plans for sit downs for our early Dec trip. Which ones should I plan on trying to make PS for? We don't typically like to stick to time schedules while we are on vacation but we definately want to experience these restaurants.

Tuesday - Cindy's for dinner
Wednesday - Whispering Canyon for dinner
Thursday - Kona for breakfast
Friday - CP for breakfast & 'Ohana for dinenr
Saturday - Chef Mickey's for breakfast

Thanks!

If it is important to you to eat there, then try to make PS's. Early December is a good touring time, but I would rather be safe than sorry. If it ends up that you can't make your PS time, then just call and cancel and then take your chances for when you can get there (in Dec. there probably isn't too bad of a stand by time). I would think that Cindy's for dinner might be the hardest just because of the limited seating, but I have never been there for dinner so I am just guessing.

We found early DEcember very busy last year. They were taking no walk ups at all for Ohanna's and they could not move us up at WCC, walk up time was close to a 1 1/2 hour. cheif Mickey's was doing walk ups but with a long wait. No walk ups at LTT, or many of the Epcot resturants. MVMCP increases attendance a lot. I would make all the PS's and then chage them if you decide not to go.

The only one I think you'll walk into is Kona for Breakfast.

The other thing that happens at "off" times is Disney will cut staff. There may be tables available, but if there isn't a waiter working the station, they can't seat you there. So sometimes people who travel at slow seasons are as disappointed as those traveling at busy seasons - even at less than completely popular restaurants.

But most of your choices are busy year round.

Definately make one for CRT for dinner on Tuesday or switch the night. Tuesday will be a MVMCP and the park will be closing at 6pm.

I always like having a PS so I don't have to worry about it come dinner time but if you don't like schedules and can be flexible with times then don't make the PS's. Most parks close early that time of year so waiting for a table isn't missing out on peak park times.

You have picked some of the most popular restaraunts. If you really want to eat there I would make a ps unless you don't mind waiting. Last Dec. I know we tried to add Chef mickey's for breakfast and there were completely booked. I also think you may have trouble with Crystal Palace.

Thanks for all the tips. I will definately make PS for Cindy's, CP, Ohana's, and Chef Mickey's. Going to Whispering Canyon hasn't been ok'd by DH yet (he think is sounds kind of weird  ) so we might just play that one by ear.

You mentioned early December, but not the dates. We were there last year from 12/9-12/13. Pop Warner and Mousefest had some overlapping dates and we found the sit down dining options to be fairly crowded. For instance, at MGM one night, they were not seating any walkups at any of the sit down places. They were completely booked with ps's.

I would definitely recommend making priority seating arrangements for any restaurants that you might like to visit. It's easy enough to stop by guest services at your resort, or make a phone call to cancel them.
