Do I need an ADR for Homecoming Florida?

My husband and I are planning to try Homecoming Florida for the first time this weekend. I went ahead and booked an ADR for noon, but I was wondering if that's really necessary? Is this a restaurant that we won't be able to get into if we just walk up? Saturday is our arrival day and I was hoping to have kind of a laid back day, so I'd prefer to just go eat when we feel like it rather than having to plan ahead for when we will be hungry! :) Anyone have any experience with eating here as a walk-up?

Thanks in advance!

Oh yes, you will definitely need an ADR for this! I have one booked for our upcoming trip next week and I keep trying to move the time around, but there is absolutely nothing open. I have friends that came back last week and they tried to get into Homecoming 3 times and were unsuccessful as walk ups. There was one day that they got there at opening and could've waited- it was only 45 mins, but they decided to try again another day and missed out.
You can always try to do a walk up, but be prepared to wait at least 45 mins to an hour.

One option is to eat up at the bar if there are seats available. My DH and I did this and had a great time talking with the bartenders and trying some new adult beverages. The full menu is available to order from. We have been there twice now, once with an ADR and once at the bar, and both were equally enjoyable. Everything we have ordered has been fantastic and can't wait for our next visit.

Thank you both for the quick replies! I will go ahead and keep the ADR. I've heard good things about the food; we can't wait to try it! :) That is a good suggestion about eating at the bar. Since it's just the two of us, that wouldn't be a bad option.

We've eaten there three times so far and will be going back. We had ADR's each time but it looked like if you got there before the busy dinner time that you could do walk-up.

Just to follow up, we kept the ADR and were definitely glad we did! They had one table open inside that a walk-up got just as we were getting to the podium. We sat outside, which worked out well and was a beautiful view, but there were only a couple of open tables out there. Homecoming is definitely doing a booming business! And it's no wonder, the food was DELICIOUS! Thanks for the advice, the ADR was the right way to go!

Glad to hear this. We went to DS in October and had lunch at EOS and wanted dessert at Homecoming (6 adults). We were all able to get in (no wait) and had their wonderful Hummingbird Cake. We did not have reservations and it was maybe 3:00 in the afternoon. We are heading down again in May but this time will want reservations. Seems like this place really took off.
