Do I need ADRs for Kona breakfast?

We are on the DxDP and staying at the Poly. We plan on having breakfast at Kona 3 times. I have all my other ADRs already and was wondering if I need ADRs for breakfast. If I just show up around 7am, could we find a table for four or should we book ahead?

We have used ADRs when we were there. I can tell you that the entire balcony area was full of people waiting for Kona...so I'd make the ADR if you know its where you want to eat. Good luck either way.

Since you are prepaying for your meals thru the DxDDP, you should definitely make ADRs. You can always cancel if your plans change but you don't want to be left without a TS place to eat. (Of course you could also use your meal 'credits' at QS site.)

We've been able to get/change Kona ressies for dinner at the last minute, so I'd guess you have a good chance at an early breakfast without ADRs. If it is a must-do make the ADR, but if it is just something you're thinking about as a spur of the moment breakfast and wouldn't mind having to go with a backup plan like CS or room service, I don't think you'd have much trouble winging it.

I'd make the ADR. We have had breakfast at the Kona Cafe twice, and both times there were a lot of people waiting for a table. Maybe they were taking walk-ups, but it didn't look like it.
