Do I need my AAA/CAA membership # when I book with CRO to get an AAA/CAA discount, or is it ok to simply show membership card at time of WDW resort check in??? I don't have a membership yet and probably won't have one until after I book with CRO (hopefully using an AAA/CAA discount).

Any info. on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Suzy V.

Sorry, you have to have a card. The CM asks for your membership number when booking the room.

Funny, the CM that booked me on Saturday never took down Gabby's AAA card number. We were just told that we would need to present it at check-in. I guess it just depends on the CM. Maggie

In the past couple of years I have had to give my AAA number every time I have booked a room with that discount. It used to be that was not the case. I would certainly have a membership in hand before I called, just in case!

I have booked AAA rate three times before changing to AP rates once they came out...not once have they asked me for my number although I had it in hand in case they did!! Once the confirmation arrived it did state "must show card when checking in" though! :)

I was asked for my membership number when I made my ressies. I gave it to the CM and then realized during our later conversation that the number I gave might not have been correct. When I asked her about it she said it didn't matter, that I would have to show my card at the desk at check-in anyway. I guess they just need some kind of number to put on the reservation. I joined AAA right before making my ressies and was sent my membership number online with a card for me to print out until I receive the real thing. It saved me $30 a night at CBR so it was worth it.

I was told to call back with my number and that I would have to show my card when I checked in. I have not joined yet, I just called to get a price. I was quite happy with 104 + tax for POFQ. The AP thing is stressing me out too much.

For our last trip they didn't ask for my membership # or even ask to see the card when we checked in. :confused3 I called a few days ago to make another reservation and they did ask this time. I definitely would have it on hand when you call.

I have made two reservations in the last few months for AAA without the card. I am going to join AAA, but haven't done so yet. With the first reservation, the lady asked me for the number, and I told her that I hadn't joined yet, but that the AAA site only said that I had to have the card at check-in, so she tried the reserv. without the number and it went through fine. This one was cancelled b/c I didn't make the deposit during the first two weeks.

The second one was made a little over a month ago, and I can't remember if the guy asked me or not, but whatever the case may be, I don't have a number and told them on several occasions that I didn't have the card yet, but would by check-in.

I did call back to request a certain area and the lady who checked said something about me not having a number for the discount and that they shouldn't have reserved the room without a number, but that's as far as it went. I guess it does depend on the CM that you get, but it is possible to reserve without the card.

I made a reservation for the Polynesian with AAA discount two weeks ago. The CM asked me for the number, and I stated I didn't have it and he said just to make sure I presented it upon check-in.

The CM asked me for my card # when I made my reservation but I was upstairs and it was downstairs and she said I could call back later with it.

when making reservations, I have usually been asked for my number. I have never been asked to show the card at check in.

I booked a room with the AAA rate thru CRO and then when I arrived at the resort to check in they did not ask for the card. So for all they know I could have been lying about being an AAA memeber,, But if the CMs dont ask, its their problem.
