we're going to Universal this Fri/Sat/Sun (coming home Monday), staying at Cabana Bay. Purchased HHN tickets w/ Express Pass for Friday night and Sunday night. Have a lights-on tour on Saturday. Purchased 4-day park to park Unlimited Express tickets.

so can we just wing it? Do we need to do rope drop for anything (what can't we get on w/ our Express tickets)?

We've been before to HHN 2 years ago, so there's some new stuff at Harry Potter we haven't experienced. Also, none of us were HP fans 2 years ago, and now ds13 and I are big fans. Do I need any plan for HP?

tia!!

no express lines for FJ, HE and Gringotts.
express lines for dragon challenge, hippograpf.

do stay and scream for the early entry for HHN.
you will be better off as the line at the gate for the official opening will be very long.
you will avoid the metal detectors if you are already in the park for hhn.

i didn't use the early entry in the 12 days i was on site and hit it all.
but, i had time to spare in case lines were very long for gringotts and had to return for a lower wait period.

once you do gringotts in the regular line, you can use the single rider line for a shorter wait for repeat rides.

the hhn express will be to your benefit for covering the houses, zones, shows as the dates you are going will have crowds later in the night.

thank you so much… I hate to bother you, but can you answer a few more questions?

What is Gringotts?? (and what's it like)?

And can you explain a bit as to what these rides are like? (I get vertigo easily on rides - some I can't do). I've been on Spiderman and can do it once every few hours. Is Transformers like Spiderman? What about HPFJ?

I can't really do anything that's a straight up motion simulator (like Star Tours), but can do some jerky rides like Dinosaur in AK.

Is Simpsons a motion simulator?

Cant answer on Gringotts since I haven't ridden it yet.
Transformers is nearly identical to Spiderman .Simpsons is a motion simulator and it can cause some pretty severe nausea .I have bad vertigo and can only manage one ride per trip and that is WITH meds. DH and DD don't have any such issues and even they cant do Simpsons more than once without getting sick

Transformers is exactly like Spiderman; neither of those bother me. I have to take. Dramamine to ride the Simpsons!! FJ too, big time. But Gringott's didn't bother me at all--the motion and the 3D stuff don't really happen at the same time, so maybe that's why? Star Tours doesn't bother me, though. So I guess YMMV. If you can handle Less Drowsy Dramamine (or your favorite motion sickness remedy), I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Op, many of the rides are tame.

For the ones you asked about, you can check them out on YouTube.

I don't get motion sickness but if you do, I don't want to steer you wrong.

Simpson ride could bother you.
Similar to the motion like Star Wars but you feel like you are moving on a roller coaster ride due to the video and movement of the ride vehicle.

It moves a little but if the film bothers you, looking at your feet or away from the screen will help

I have vertigo and can't do Simpsons at all........made me really bad.

FJ I can do once or twice without meds....... Spider-Man and Transformers are fine and as long as I focus on one spot when it spins slightly I can do that lots of times.

Gringotts.......absolutely no issues at all......it's an amazing ride.

Have a great trip :thumbsup2
