Do I need a plan for IOA?

We're not staying on-site. We're going on Wed, Nov 16th. We'll be there at rope drop. We're very familiar with the park and the rides. Right now, our plan is simply to go to WWoHP first since we have some HP addicts in the family. Only one of our three kids is tall enough for FJ, though I don't know if he'll ride. (I really hope he will, since I want to ride and can't see standing in line for a while with none of the kids riding). So, we'll hit Ollivander's first and the FJ if my oldest will do it.

Are there any other attractions that I need to worry about fitting in at certain times of day? We stayed on-site our last few trips, so it's the first time I've had to think about planning at all. (Though, Jan of 2010, we still wouldn't have need a plan even if not on site. But WWoHP wasn't open yet).

My crew has two adults who love thrill rides, but skip them when we're with kids unless there's a lull and short lines. Or unless a child will want to ride it. Our oldest is about 54" but not super brave on rides and our middle child *might* hit 44" with shoes. (Last Disney/IOA trip, the only way to get the oldest to do a thrill ride was for the middle child to want to do it - which happened frequently). Our youngest is under 40" but gets scared easily so we will definately be using child swap.

I don't think you need a plan beyond that. I would suggest re-visiting WWoHP at the end of the day as well, it's real nice in the evening. Often lighter crowds, too.

Note that FJ has a "castle tour" line that takes you through the castle without waiting in line if none of you intend to ride. Also note the single ride lines at FJ and throughout IoA for adults who want to break away from the the rest of the group and hit a thrill ride quickly.

Thanks! There's really no evening to go back and visit, since it closes at 6pm that night. I'm hoping that's a good sign that crowds should be very low.

Does the castle tour line ever get long?

Yay for single rider line! That alone was what made our trips to IOA for New Year's Eve pre-kids amazing. (We're talking one trip where the New Year's eve count was 22 times Dueling Dragons, 14 times Spiderman, and 12 times Hulk). We won't go nearly as crazy this time - my stomach can no longer handle that much and we focus on the kids on these trips now.

Do they have the single rider line always open on FJ? On our last trip, I remember some of the rides didn't have single rider the entire day.
