Do I need a fast pass for Spaceship Earth?

I want to go first thing at opening. I hear since it is at the entrance there may be a line.
Do I need a fast pass for this ride?

If not, what are the top attractions I will need a fast pass for?
I am not interested in the Sum of All Thrills or Mission Space.

:D

At opening and later in the evening, Spaceship Earth is pretty much a walk on.

Soarin & Test Track are the two top FP attractions at Epcot

I've seen the line for Spaceship Earth back up but mostly around midday. The line may look long when you walk in but it moves fast.

As a tier 2 choice, SSE isn't a terrible choice. The line for it has gotten longer since they implemented FP+. It also is more likely to have a line in the morning. It's the first ride people's see when they come into Epcot and most people have moved into WS by the afternoon.

I've never seen this attraction before and I am going on a weekday. If I have a left over fast pass maybe I'll choose this one.

Thanks. I did read your post. I didn't know onsite guests could book 60 days before. That's good news.
I read about Seven Dwarfs Mine Train being difficult to get. Even at the 60 day mark? Do you have any tips for this?
Or just log on first thing in the morning?

we get it just to have it since there is nothing else we are interested in. It can be busy in the mooring since that is the first ride people go on.

Years ago I read a great trip about Spaceship Earth - if there is a long line - come back later. Because of its location - it seems to have a very fluctuating line. Sure enough, we have found this to be true on every trip we have had. But, I do caution this was before FP+ so I'm not sure if that has changed anything.

Sixty days likely won't be a problem for 7DMT any more, can be touch and go at around 30 or less.

We never got fast passes for it before. I believe a lot of people do now. Just keep an eye on the lines. It gets crowded quickly and usually dies down
as the day goes on to less than 5-10 min. wait.

If you're staying in the front until after 11, don't bother, as the line should be much smaller once WS opens.

If you were going to come in at 10:30, hit the golf ball and shoot back to WS, get it.

We were at Disney World end of April. On pretty busy weekend day, from mid-morning and through the rest of the day, Spaceship Earth was consistently 30 minute wait. Standby line was around the corner even at 5pm because so many people were returning with FP. On less busy Wednesday, the line length fluctuated a lot. Around 10:30am line was 30 minutes because everyone using morning FP. But in afternoon it was a walk-on no wait.
