We will be at WDW the week of Dec 5. And we want to do the CP at Epcot one night that week. Do I really need to book a package? I have heard about low attendance then, will the CP really be that hard to see then? Anyone who has been at that time, some help please????

It has been 5 years since i have been there for the CP. When i did go it was a tthe same time of year (approximately) that you are going. The line for the CP was really long. We did the dinner package. It definatley got us much better seats and a shorter wait.

We were there the week after Thanksgiving last year and were able to wait in line for about 20-30 minutes to get seats to the 7 pm show. The seats were pretty good and we were definitely not the first in line. It was a weeknight - Thursday I think.

Planning on a nice meal in World Showcase get CP Dinner Package it doesn't cost you anything extra and you get great seats for CP without queing up at least 1 hour in advance plus a great meal. That said you don't have to have CP Package to get a seat to see CP but even at that time of year(we've been first part of December each year since 1992) the que for each CP performance starts early and gets long quickly. With Package we get in Package que 1/2 hour before performance and get great seats each year. What ever you decide don't miss CP is is awesome.::yes:: :wave2:

:D My DW and I tried to see the CP last year w/o the dinner package and the stand by line was as long and wide as any line I had ever seen. We thought we'd see the 6:45 show on a Friday 12/13/2003 ...WOW were we wrong. The people at the front of the line said they were hoping to get into the 6:45 show because they lined up at 4:30 to see the 5:00 show and didn't get in. I don't know if this was an aberration or because it was a Friday but I decided right then and there top get the dinner package next time.

This year we are getting the dinner package as we plan to see it on Friday 12/3.

I would highly recommend getting the package if you want to be guaranteed a seat.:D

You may want to consider the package. While it is in general a low attendance time, there are a number of Internet groups meeting that week and will be in the parks doing it all! You can always make it for a later part of your trip and then if you can get in ealrier you have 48 hours to cancel the ressie.

It is a great show to see and worth the package, IMHO

I would strongly get a package for the Candlelight Processional.

It's a great show and it's good to know that you won't have to wait in long, long lines and you get to enjoy a good meal that you have already pre-paid.
