Do I have to purchase the DP for all my children?

My wife and I are planning a trip for us and our three girls (3, 5, 8). We are considering adding one of the dining plan options, but I want to ensure that I can purchase park tickets for all 5 of us, but only a meal plan for 4 of us. My 5-year-old eats formula only via feeding tube, so I obviously don't want to pay for a meal plan for her.

Does anyone know if this is possible when booking as a family, and doable if booking online?

Thanks.

I think everyone has to be on the same plan--it's all or none.

But...with a special needs child you *might* be able to get someone at Disney to help out. I'd call and talk to someone--you probably can't do this online.

Yes, you have to purchase the plan for everyone registered in your room, and I have seen before that guests who had a party member with a feeding tube still had to get the dining plan, but you should call Disney and ask, or check the DISAbilities board. You will not be able to do it online if you want to try and exempt one child, you will have to call.

If they tell you that you have to get the plan for everyone, then the rest of the party can use the credits alloted to the 5 year old, so you can consider maybe doing some extra meals and using the credits for your other kids, or ordering an extra kids meal at an a la carte if the other kids would like more food.
