Do I have to pay for airfare?

Ya I'm learning my lesson on Communicating! I take things for granted that people know. But I'm thinking I never told the mom that I got my DD a $100 gift card to use while at Disney to pay for all her own stuff. I should've told her.

She texted me this morning that they got airfare, I texted back how much do I owe you, and now it's been an hour and she's not replied.

Well she texted me back and said $120. I always get screwed being nice. Whatever, I've learned.

I haven't read this entire thread yet but WHY did you pay their hotel????? I would have paid for her ticket and then her airfare. When we invite people we don't have friends pay for resort at all or meals if they are eating with us. If the teens are out on their own in the park then yes the guest can pay for their meal. The guest pays for the park ticket and the airfare if we fly. If we drive then we pay for meals in route to and from too. We are elgible for the discounted miltary tickets so we get those for the guest but their famiy pays.

I was being nice they were going to drive all along. Had I know they were going to change their mode of transportation 6 days before leaving I'd not have offered to get the hotel. As is the hotel has been booked and paid for months ago.

To be fair, $120 is cheap, and I'd definitely fly instead of drive for that amount. You are the one who sealed the WDW portion when you offered to pay for a hotel, probably because you want the best experience for your dad (and who wouldn't).
