i have a few questions for the experts.

We will travel from DTD to Epcot.
My plan was to take a bus to either Boardwalk, Beach Club, Port Orleans, or Saratoga, then a bus to Epcot.

After Epcot, we will go to Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, via the Friendship Boat.

After dinner we will return to CBR. No direct buses, so back to either Epcot or DHS right? would one be better than the other? Is the boat dropoff at DHS closer to the busses than Epcot? And i don't have to have a ticket to get off the boat and onto the busses at DHS but do at Epcot, right?

And finally, our dinner is at 7:40, so i'm guessing it will be done around 9. Illuminations is at 9 (park closing at 9), and Fantasmic is at 9 & 1030 (park closing at 10). Would this make you choose one over the other for the bus crowds? If i went to DHS what time would i need to be on the boat to beat the F! crowds.

thanks !!

Take the bus to the Beach Club and walk thru the resort to the International Gateway back entrance of Epcot. BC is the closet resort to the IG Epcot gate. You'll be in WS between the UK and France. Come out the same way and walk to the Boardwalk area for the Flying Fish OR catch the Friendship boat if it's there. If the boat is not there or coming soon (you can see it on the lake) walking might be faster. The BC, YC, and Boardwalk, as well as Swan & Dolphin resorts are around a big circular lake, IIRC less than a mile around.(?)

After dinner take the boat to DHS, the bus stations are not too far from the boat dock to get back to your resort and if there's a late Fantasmic they'll still be running. The boats just drop you at the IG Epcot entrance, no where near the front of the park and the busses. If you went back to Epcot the IG entrance might be closed after 9pm, but even if it isn't you'd have to trek from the back of WS thru FW and out to the bus stops. It's a very long walk thru the park.

No set time for beating the F! bus crowds, but figure people will be getting to the bus/boat stops about an hour or so after the show starts. 45 minute show + 10/15 minutes for the earliest people to get from the theater to the exit gates.

No ticket required for boats or busses, but you do need a ticket to enter Epcot. If your scenario is just for DTD-Flying Fish to eat-home to CBR without entering Epcot at all no ticket is required and you could still travel as I outlined above.

It's only 2 miles from BW to the furtherest location at CBR so only a $6-$8 cab fare and you'll be there in 5 minutes. Plan on about an hour to get back to CBR via Disney Transportation using above suggestion.

Just a note, there are no buses that run from the Beach Club or Boardwalk to Epcot. I think they assume most guests at these resorts would opt to enter via International Gateway.

After Epcot, we will go to Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, via the Friendship Boat.

If you do miss the boat, then it is probably faster to walk to Flying Fish opposed to waiting for the next boat. It's about 0.3 miles from the International Gateway to Flying Fish.

This is correct - there are no specific direct buses from one resort to next (buses only go from resort to resort when they happen to share a bus route, e.g., Beach and Yacht Clubs share a bus route).

The only way to get to Epcot's bus stops is to go through Epcot, so you would need a ticket to get in. It's probably not the most efficient method, but there is something fun about walking through Epcot when it's quiet. (This is assuming you'd still be able to get into Epcot after Illuminations has started.)

And finally, our dinner is at 7:40, so i'm guessing it will be done around 9.
People usually say to allot about two hours for dinner at a Signature. So I think getting done in an hour and twenty minutes is bit optimistic. I'd guess you'll get done closer to 9:30 or so. At that point, Illuminations is done.

As PPs have said, the fastest route back to CBR is to take a cab. There are cabs in the front of the Boardwalk Resort, so you should be able to get one easily (if not you have one called for).

After Epcot, we will go to Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, via the Friendship Boat.
Honestly I say it's a lot faster to walk over to the Boardwalk because from the International Gateway it's only 5 minutes away. Now if you want to take the boat there is nothing wrong with that because the Boardwalk is the next stop after it leaves from there. However if the boat is not there by the time you wait you could have already walked over to the Boardwalk.

Thanks all. Good to know that we can get out through dhs without a park ticket. The cab ride sounds nice though, to save the time. Has anyone seen cabs with car seats in them?
Thanks again!
