I am looking for Dec 24 to Dec 31. Checked the members site and there are only a few days here and there.

- Waitlist maybe?

- Trade for and existing ressie?

Anyway, just your thoughts of our chances please.....no need to tell me I'm crazy....I know that already!

You really need to book every available day and then hound the boards twice a day for cancellations one day at a time... It will take some work, patience, and luck...I would look for a split stay between AKV, OKW, and SSR. But it's possible

If you mean for 2014, you would be very, very lucky to get anything at one resort for the trip.

Good luck I have been hounding the boards to change my resort choice for over a month and nothing comes up available with the exception a couple of times one night of the 24th keeps showing up, not sure why the 24th pops up but nothing else. One time a 1 bedroom OKW came up for 1 night but nothing else in over a month. This is for christmas week.

What would your back up plan be if you cannot get all the days? What if you are missing day 3,4,7 (I just picked random days) would you still do the trip? Move to a paid room? Change resorts? Will you be driving or flying?

I hope it all works out and I think it can if you have a good back up plan.

Dec 24 - 31, 2015 should be no problem at all. You can make that reservation January 24, 2015 at your Home Resort.

2014 may be a little tougher at this point in time.

thanks everyone....I did find a couple of days here and there, but all at different resorts....I wouldn't mind moving once, but moving everyday?.....I think I will do like Doc suggest and wait until 2015!

Have you waitlisted yourself? I would try to waitlist for connecting days to some of the bigger resorts: SSR, OKW and AK. So if you have a day at SSR try to waitlist at SSR the next day. A lot of people have reservations that they will cancel when their plans fall through.

I would do a couple of waitlists. They might come through at 31 days out. You never know.

The most difficult night would be Dec 31 - not sure if you are intending to stay that night or were checking out on the 31st?

But if the waitlists didn't come through 31 days out, would the OP want to cancel the entire reservation? If they were all one day reservations, one or more might be 30 days out or less and subject to holding.

Check at random times every day. That's how I got my 26-31 ressie all at SSR! I got my DB's 19-21 at OKW for 2 BR and still stalking, hourly, for the 25th for me and the 22 for him! I found it once, but didn't click the link on availability fast enough! Keep checking...late at night 11PM and early morning...prior to 6AM is when I wrangled all of ours last week!

What people are going? We did a christmas stay for my daughters birthday (12/27) in 2012.
We stayed at akv,WL,VB,OKW.

It wasn't too bad for a week with a 1 turning 2 and 3 yr old.
