Okay, my hubby and I are taking a quick trip to US/IOA and WDW this September. We really only have one day to do both US and IOA. No problem, with the help from you all we think we can do all that we want too at both parks in one day.... (thanks for that help!!)

BUT then I was looking for info on which ticket we would get....

Seems like we either have to buy seperate admission to each park (@ 49.95 per park per person) or each get the 99.95 power pass.

Does US/IOA offer a one day two park ticket? We are staying onsite at PRH for one night if that helps our cause.

If they dont have a one day/two park pass do they have any type of hopper pass (stemming from my Disney experience) that doesnt expire... I would have no trouble buying a 4 or 5 day pass if unused days dont expire............ from what I can see all the hopper passes expire 14 days after the first use.

We really dont think we will make it back to US/IOA within a year so the power plus pass isnt really a good deal for us.........

HELP

Are you a AAA member? If so they offer a 2-day pass (no expiration) for $92.00 or 3-day pass (no expiration) for $104.00. Hope that helps.

Are those Park hopper passes.... meaning we could use one day on the ticket and hit both parks? Or just a savings, over buying the seperate addmission to both parks.

Thanks for the quick answer! You all are the best!!

I am on the phone right now with AAA and they are telling me that the passes are only good for one park per day (or you can use two days on the same day to do both parks) Price quoted for 2 day pass $88.00 (didnt mention tax and forgot to ask) and 3 day $102.50 No expriation date that she could find.

SO know the price of addmission for both parks in one day is $88.00 via AAA and $99.90 from US (or I suppose $99.95 if you do the Power pass deal)

OKay Is it worth it?????? Yeah........ I guess it is...........

Anyone else got some ideas?????

Multi-day tickets are hoppers. You can switch back and forth from park to park.

Hmmmm that isnt what my AAA lady said.... but then again she was reading information off the ticket....

Can anyone confirm or deny that the AAA tickets are indeed hoppers so we would only use one of the days for both parks????

If so I am siked...............

Well, now I don't know. I posted that last post before I read what AAA had told you. I always thought that any multi-day ticket allowed you entrance to both parks on the same day. Maybe you should call Universal and ask they should know more about it. Sorry if I gave you wrong information.

Does'nt the Fan Club still offer the AP for 99.00 each for both parks? I know your only going for one day this time but gesh for the price of an AP you could go again when your ready for the same price as that day is gonna cost you, not to mention with the discounts on food and merc and perks you'll have made up for the price of the pass in a few day trips. Just a thought

The $99 Fan club AP rate has expired - I just called today to inquire about it (it still shows up on parts of the Fan Club site, but you can't purchase it).

I've done some research into tickets, and this is what I've found:

AP - 99.95 Power or $159.95 for Preferred. There's also the FL lottery ticket promo for the preferred AP, where you get the 2nd year free with a losing FL lottery ticket. I was told on the phone that one losing lottery ticket was good to purchase up to 4 AP's. These can be purchased on-line (actually they send you a voucher, which you bring to the park to get your AP).

2-Day & 3-Day - can be bought at the parks, best bet is probably to use the ent. book coupons for "Universal Scrip" ($7 or $10 in scrip with ticket purchase) . These can be used for both parks, all days (like hoppers). Unused days never expire. I believe you can buy the 3-day ticket at www.ticketmania.com, but the 2-day ticket they offer looks like it's actually the fan club special (see below).

2-Day Fan Club with one day free - make sure you don't purchase this by mistake when buying a 2-day ticket. These tix are also like hoppers, but all 3 days must be used within 6 consecutive days at the park. Price - $85.46, can be purchased on-line.

5 day bonus - $89.95 - can be used like a hopper, but must be used within 5 consecutive days. This is a great deal if you're just visiting Orlando for a short period of time and want to spend more than 1 day at Universal.

There are also 4- and 5-day flex tickets, which include admission to Sea World and other parks. More info. can be found at https://tickets.universalstudios.com.

Hope this helps! There doesn't seem to be one good site or source of ticket information for US that I could direct you to - I had to spend a lot of time visiting different Web sites and calling US to get this info.

UO still sells the two-day, two-park passes, but not online. You need to go to the ticket booths at either IOA or USF to get them. I did this in February, because I was on a business trip and only had one day to see the parks. When I bought the ticket, I made sure that it was good forever (it is) and proceeded to do both parks in one day, repeating many attractions/rides several times (see webpage below, "themeparks" link). I will use the second day this coming February when I go on another business trip. The cost of the ticket was something like $95.
If you need to verify this, try calling UO direct. I never trust people outside of the actual operating company for information such as this.

ks dave is right. Just to clarify, all of the ticket prices I quoted were from the Universal Orlando and Universal Fan Club Web sites, as of today, 8/1. Since they don't have the 2 and 3-day passes listed online, I didn't quote a price. The scrip info. I got off of the coupons in my 2002 ent. book.

Here's another great site for ticket and discount info:

Okay I poked around a bit (thanks to dcookies and mousesavers) and found that Sam's Club offers this for $87.00....

Enjoy two days of unlimited park-to-park access to BOTH Universal Studios® and Universal Islands of AdventureSM theme parks. A great savings over individual day tickets! No Expiration date! Use your unused day a month or even YEARS later. See Orlando the way YOU want to see it, on your OWN schedule. Includes a free Universal CityWalk® Party PassSM good for seven consecutive nights (does not include movie at Universal Cineplex).

From the above description, it appears that you can hop from park to park and only use one day..... I may bop by our local Sam's and see if they have more info and I will post back here for others who may need the info.

thanks again for everyone's help. I knew this was the place to get info!!

Laura;
Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that Sams had the 2-day tickets now. If I get to take my DW in Feb, I'll have to get her ticket there.

You can get tixckets at Sams club? might have to try and get some before we go down this Sun. Doesn't Universal still offer the buy 2 days get a 3rd day free?

From what I can tell they still offer that ticket, but the days mst be used within a certain time (maybe 14 days)

And yes, Sam's does offer tickets. I followed the link from the Mousesavers.com link above to the Sam's CLub site. I still havent checked this out in person though.......

You can go online to the universal fan club site and buy tickets. 2 park 1 day ticket is 49.95 or you can buy a 2 day 3rd day free with your Fan Club discount for 85.95 for all 3 days both parks. I think the 1st one is the one you want. I'll try and find the link for you.

Pull up the universal site and in the search at the top type in Fan Club.. this will bring you to links to buy tickets. hope this helps.

I too was surprised about tickets offered at Sam's. Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that they have the Adult 3 Day (3rd FREE)/2 Park and you can use the unused days anytime but I see this on the site:
"Best of all, you get the flexibility of using your ticket ANY THREE DAYS within a week of its first use. Come on consecutive days or spread them out … enjoy Universal Orlando at YOUR convenience!"

That ticket option from Sam's is $87 for adults and $75 for kids (plus $3.45 shipping - tax?).

You can get an adult five consecutive day/2 park pass at US site for $89.95 and kids for $76.95 (plus $3.00 shipping - tax?) Must purchase that one online.

I love finding good bargains!!!! Thaks for all the tips!
