So we have the money to go down for Christmas. The question is, SHOULD we?

Is it as crowded as the World?

Will my kids hate every other Christmas? :rotfl:

We only have 8 weeks with my husband this year, do we spend one of them at Disneyland?

Talk me into (or out of) it!

Do it! Do it!! Do it!!! What a great memory for you and your kids to have, with their Dad, enjoying a magical Christmas at DL!

What dates specifically? The days leading up to Christmas are a little different (better) than the days between Christmas and New Year's. Keep in mind, we're comparing very crowded DL to crazy crowded DL here, but I haven't been to WDW so can't draw that comparison for you. What ages are your kids? Getting up really early in the morning and hitting the parks will be the key to getting the most out of your trip. Is your DH going to be into that too, or is he going to resent having to get up before the crack of dawn everyday on his vacation?

If visiting DL is something your whole family including your DH will enjoy and you can be of the mindset that it's going to be crowded, but hey it's Disneyland, then I say go for it. DL is awesome when done up for the holidays, and just the experience of being in the parks and hearing the holiday music and seeing the decorations and riding the SW and HMH with the overlays puts us in a really festive mood whether it's 50 degrees or 80 degrees.

Are you considering C-mas cause of school *your kids*? If so perhaps consider Thanksgiving ~ last year was quite nice *Turkey day itself and the following days *not the days prior. *This* taken from *here* explains what it was like last late Nov. I'm hoping and expecting it to be the same this year *we'll be there!

Because of that *APs being blocked* I don't know why C-mas is so crowded. All 3 blockable APs are blocked at least from 12/23-1/2

This should help but, Because this year there a full work week between Chirstmas and New Years I imagine this week will be packed no matter what. The week before or after may have the 2nd Chirstmas Vaction week. So at least that will divide the crowd then.
