I'm so looking forward to being at WDW 11/30-12/4, BUT, should I avoid the MK on 12/1 while Regis does his thing?

Has anyone been there for a taping? I could care less about seeing the parade taped, but what is the park like that day? Is the rest of the place empty?

Please, please, offer some good advice.:wizard:

We went during the Christmas Parade taping last year and while Main Street was packed (we walked through the stores on the left side to by bypass Main Street) the rest of the park was certainly manageable, not empty but ok.

Friday morning (during taping) was less congested than Saturday night but we still got on everything we wanted to ride.

Thanks for the response. Was the hub and castle area mobbed as well? Or was it just Main street and the Plaza?

anyone else have an experience??:wizard:

Yes, the hub and the front of the castle were packed! You would really need to limit your touring to the different lands (Fantasy, Tomorrow, Frontier etc.) at least until they finished taping for the day.

Last year the Friday of the parade taping was the day we won Dream Fastpasses coming off Peter Pan's Flight! The parade weekend is a great time for celebrity sightings too, we got to see Beyonce (taping her segment) from a distance at MK and Emmitt Smith at MGM.

In the end if MK is the park you want to be in then just go and enjoy!

We were there during the taping last year and had a blast. We completely avoided the taping by taking the train over to Splash and BTMRR and hit both of them multiple times, POTC, HM and then over to Buzz with very little wait. :cloud9: We left in the afternoon when the crowds were getting bigger but DH and I agree that it was the best day of our trip. :thumbsup2

How do you know when the taping will be? Does it cover more than one day? I think I would actually like :confused3 to be there then, but I'll be solo, so that helps. A lot! :rotfl:
