Do have to purchase a refillable mug....?

I want to get hot water from the food court while I am at ASMu....(in only 13 days!)


And I didn't know if I had to purchase the refillable mug to get the water without a charge?

I don't drink pop or juice so all I will be needing is water...but if I do, at least it will make a nice cup to take home!

They will give you a free little cup (clear plastic last week) to get water from the soda dispenser, but I don't think they give the foam coffee cups away. Maybe you could pack some foam cups in your suitcase. Water should be free, no matter what temperature it is, in my opinion.

Not at all. I wouldn't bother if all you need is hot water. The real savings comes when you are drinking soda.

I would just ask the Cast Members working at the counter service locations for a clear cup whenever you would need hot water, or take Ali's advice and pack some of you're own cups and bring them with you. I also agree that water should be free, weather it's hot or cold.

Nobody is watching the area where the soda/coffee/drinks are. We were there last week and we all bought the refillable cups (12 of us.) The first day, we filled them up with us and carried them to the park so that we would have stuff to drink for a bit. The problem is that then we had our mugs to carry for the rest of the day. We had the dinning plan and when we ate at the food court, we also had a beverage, so we ended up with a lot of powerade bottles. In the morning, we took a few of those bottles and we filled them up with ice (a few of them) and some soda or pink lemonade in the others. That way, when we were done drinking them, we could just throw them away and not have to carry them with us. We filled them up all week and nobody ever said a word to us. Like I said, we did have the refillable cups, and I always buy them just to have, but you basically can fill up anything and nobody would say a word.

When we have stayed at Disney before if you had a refillable mug you can use it for soda/tea/coffee etc. They are definately worth the money if you stay is over 5 days (or if you like to drink lots).

If you didn't have a refillable mug when you went to the counter you ask for the cup size you need and pay for it (you fill it from the same machines used for the refillable mugs).

If they gave out free paper cups people would just use these to help themselves to free soda/tea/coffee rather than pay for the refillable mugs .
