Do girls wear princess dresses at parks?

My dd did wear her Cindy Dress all day, the day of our CRT ressie. She did fine, and loved it. We did have her wear sneakers though. And brought an extra pair of clothes just in case.

I was there last week with my 5 year old princess loving daughter. However she is also a tomboy and I knew things like the playgrounds were more important to her than looking like a princess. She wore a different princess tshirt each day. She got tons of attention just by wearing the tshirts and they are something she can continue to wear at home, to school etc. Cinderella remarked that she loved seeing dd with all the princesses, many asked who her favorite was etc. I think it depends on the child. My daughter would have been miserible wearing a costume all day but loved wearing her princess t shirts. We saw many young kids in costumes but not many over the preschool age.

Heck yes! Hey, if I dressed up as Mary Poppins just to go to a Disney on Ice show (and had a blast signing autographs and taking pics! :goodvibes ) and I'm a teen, DEFINITELY let them wear their dresses. But you should make them wear sneakers and take an extra outfit like Three Musketeers said. :woohoo:

I would love to get my 3 daughters princess dresses to wear to WDW when we make our first trip there in July-Any ideas where to buy them for cheap-I can't really see spending $25 if it's going to get ruined-But I would love for them to truly feel like princesses since they know all of them by heart especially my 4yr old and meeting the princesses is the biggest draw of the trip for them. Any ideas?

We went this past December and for the CRT DD wore her brand new Cindy costume with tiara, it was going to be cool out so we had a Cindy sweatshirt for the party that night, the matched perfectly. The big suprise however was how she got it. The night before I laid it out on the bottom of her bed and when she woke up we told her that the Fairy Godmother came to the room, left the dress and a note from Cindy reminding her of her lunch at the castle, you see Cindy mailed her an invitation a couple weeks before our trip to invite her back for lunch. She wore the dress the entire time at MK and then again the next day at Animal Kingdom. We had lunch with the princesses at Epcot and this time the Fairies brought her an Aurora dress and accessories for that, she wore it the entire day and the CM's really do pay extra attention. One special note, in France Belle and The Beast are there along with Sleeping Beauty. We stumbled upon them last year and this year no one was around, we got there before they came out and after a few minutes everyone left, Sleeping Beauty came out about 15 minutes after Belle and the Beast, it was so cute, 2 sleeping beauties just chatting away (DD loves to talk), the Photopass photographer came running over and said this was way to cute to pass up, I just kept shooting pics as well. And as for the shoes, DD did mention that the outfit didn't have shoes, we tried to find some to humor her but I knew those dress up shoes wouldn't work in the parks, fortunately the World of Disney just happened to be out of her size, really they were.

We're planning on going back in October for the Halloween Party and she has already asked for a Belle costume and Tinkerbell Costume, I told her I'd send a note to them to see what I could do to arrange for a costume.

I got the costumes from the Disney Direct after Halloween last year for $19.99 each, they were very nice costumes. It was worth every penny to see her face.

Have a great time.

You can look online at Disney Direct or on ebay for dresses. I have heard of people finding them in consignment shops as well. I think it depends upon your girls whether or not they would ruin their dresses- my DD4 had no problems keeping them in good condition and they came home just as nice as they left. Good luck!
