Do Gateway or Dell exchange computers?

We have a Dell and Gateway computer from about 4 years ago, and instead of upgrading both, we were thinking of just getting one new one. I was wondering if either of them do any kind of buy back or exchange for an upgraded newer computer. Does anyone know? Thanks.

DH, who works for Dell, says they don't have any buy back or exchange programs for consumer customers.

Dell had one unless they have discontinued it. I had my current Dell P433 priced out and they only offered me about $25-$35. I can sell it for more myself.

I have a 5 year old Pentium II 266mhz which most likely will become a doorstop when I purchase a new PC;);) ;) ;) ;) . I wouldn't count on getting much for a 4 year old machine; why not donate it to your local computer society or school system???

I thought Gateway had that Yourware thingie where you got the PC then traded it in in two years for a newer one, just paying the diff in value of the first with the second. Perhaps thats just hte commercials that I will instantly belive.
