Do food carts accept Disney gift cards

I'd like to get my boys each a multi-pack of the $15 Disney gift cards to use at the park. They will most likely use them to buy their own treats/snacks- thinking ice cream, popcorn, etc. Do the carts and stands that sell these items accept Disney gift cards? Thanks!

Yep all of them should accept them. We love using the gift cards and purchased snacks/drinks at the carts during our last trip.

Any cart that takes a credit card should. Certain ones like balloons and a couple other carts won't I think but 95% should

Gibson Girl and Clarabelle's don't take Disney gift cards. Also, if the POS system can't connect at the cart, but that's pretty rare, and as long as parents are nearby with backup cash I think they'll be fine. I'd be more worried that it would be more complicated for kids to keep track of a pack of gift cards than a few $20 bills.

You could combine each boys gift cards into one online. If you're worried about them losing a gift card bring backup empty gift cards and if one card gets lost log into the online account and transfer the balance from the lost card to one of your backup cards. We've only come across 1 food stand that didn't take gift cards. An ice cream stand a couple years ago, so we just walked to the next one and bought our ice cream there.

I'm looking at a receipt from Gibson Girl. They do take Disney gift cards.

As others have said, most of the in-park locations do take gift cards. The balloon sellers are cash only, as are some of the walk-around vendors (e.g., the ones that sell treats in attraction lines). Most (All?) of third party locations in DTD do not take Disney gift cards (e.g., Jamba Juice). I have been there when the gift card system wasn't working at some carts, so it's always good to have some cash back up.

Thanks everyone for the info!! I'm choosing the multi-pack of cards because the boys will get a special bag for each day we're headed into the park. Each bag has a something to help keep them entertained during long waits, a Disney candy treat and a gift card to buy themselves a snack or small toy.

The Magic Shop, Midway games at DCA and Ghiradelli are the only places I have found that don't take Disney GC's.

Clarabelle's in DCA takes Disney gift cards. Just used one last Wednesday to buy 4 chocolate dipped ice cream bars.

The Magic Shop, Midway games at DCA and Ghiradelli are the only places I have found that don't take Disney GC's.

Just an add on for those who might be interested - the DCA Ghirardelli location will take Ghirardelli gift cards.

This is such an amazing idea! Maybe 'll do this for my almost 4 year old when we go for the first time in Feb.

I thoroughly enjoyed having a loaded gift card and not spending any "real money" for the time we were there. Except Ghirardelli, which has the AP discount but doesn't accept the Disney gift cards.
