Do fastpass+ reservations have to be at least an hour apart from one another?

I know you have an hour window to use your fastpass. So, can you make a 9 am fastpass reservation followed by a 9:30 am fastpass reservation or must it be at least 10 am for the next one?

I want to encroach on the time of the first fastpass for my second fastpass. I know I need to use the first 9 am fastpass up before going to my second fastpass.

Yes, the opening time of the window has to be an hour apart.

The only way to somewhat do that is use your first FP at 9. As soon as you scan it then go on the app and try to move your second FP up. If there's fast passes available to move it up, you could have your second FP at 9:30-10:30 instead of 10-11

If you don't want to ride E-ticket rides (and depending on when you are going), then just book one fastpass. And once you tap in for that one, grab an available one off MDE. This works best in Magic Kingdom and we have done it where we used 10 FPs by mid-day. But, of course, the headliners are long gone.

Yes, this. We have had days where we arrive at the parks at 9:15am and have blown through all 3 FP+ by 10:15 or 10:30am.

If I were you, I would wait until at least 10 before scheduling a FP. Usually in that first hour or two you can ride quite a few rides without a FP.
