We bought some of those Space Bags as we want to take our own pillows and thought this would save room in our suitcases. Will the vacuum cleaners in the BWV studio work with these? I hadn't thought about how to do this once we are getting ready to come home.

I told DH I would get an answer off the Dis within an hour, so don't make me look bad!

Nope, the vacuum cleaners don't have attachments. Get the space bags that you squeeze out the air.

Did I meet the time frame??? ;)

Thanks for the quick response...DH will be amazed as always. :worship:

Now I need to go experiment with those bags.

Okay, so tried to hand squeeze the air out of the space bag with a pillow in it. I managed to squeeze quite a bit of air out. Then I packed my suitcase including the hand-squeezed pillow to see how much I could get in.

Then I re-packed it with a normal pillow. It didn't make much of a difference space-wise as I could really pound the normal pillow down, while the partial pillow was not so pliable. I kept getting "air pockets" within the bag.

THEN I sucked all the air out with my vacuum. It made the pillow flat but the package is very stiff and not bendable. I think I might just go without the bags at all.

However, they will come in handy in my closets!!!

We used the vacuum at BWV on space bags. They are uprights but have a hose extension.
