Do disney park reservations ever open up mid-day?

I'm looking to use my AP last minute after work, and wondering if any of you have seen park reservations open up last minute, or intra-day?

I have seen this happen occasionally. You should be able to check on a comparable crowd day/park to your plans and see via the park reservation calendar page through disney.

I went marathon time, and it happened at least for HS once. Outside of peak times, availability is pretty easy to get last minute, except HS.

It can although my suggestion is to try to book a reservation as opposed to relying on the information on the park availability calendar. The calendar is not updated rest-time so it does got always reflect accurate availability.
