Do Disney Dollars still exist?

I've come across these severalt iems in guidebooks, etc but there doesn't seem to be any mention currently of them anywhere.

Does anyone know if these things are still goin or if they have been phased out?

hhhmmm, good question,

my dad, an old fart, said he was going to get some for DD for earning her Bronze Award, but I told him don't bother,

Walgreens sells Disney GC you can put 15-500 on, so you can pick your own amount, then Publix sells 25 & 50

I haven't seen or heard about these in a long time, I mean i know they used to be used and sold, but not so sure anymore

As of October 4th 2009 The Disney Store no longer sells Disney Dollars. However, they are still available from Disneyland and DisneyWorld Resorts.

Disney Dollars are not available for purchase online from Disney

Please be aware that the Disney Store near you may still have leftover Disney Dollars, but remember when they sell out they're out.

Not sure why you need them but I've came across this idea a few places on the boards, mostly the creative DISigns board where people make their own "Disney dollars" and then have their kids earn them leading up to the trip and then right before the trip the parents buy a gift card for what ever value of "Disney dollars" they have and then that's the amount the child gets to spend while in Disney

I was able to purchase some for my god-daughter for our trip this past august. I had to order them over the phone (407-566-4985) and pay for shipping.

You can still get them at WDW, I believe (we got ours from City Hall in MK), but they're only useful for spending there. They make a nice cheap souvenir though

Just got back from WDW and they were only available at Guest Services or City Hall.

I bought some for my GD's for their upcoming DL trip. They were thrilled ! ! !

The only problem is they are soooo pretty its hard to part with them......They'll keep one and spend the rest.
