I know AKL has a snack bar, but do the others have a food court or something similar?

Not that I have ever seen, just good restaurants with a good enough selection to please most everyone.

WL has Roaring Forks which is a smallish place to catch a snack.
We don't rely on eating here very much.

It served us well to get coffee/tea for breakfast and an occasional muffin or fresh fruit to supplement our breakfast food we brought from home. We did eat lunch on our final day because we wouldn't be getting home until after 8 p.m.

It serves basic fast food type choices and can very crowded at breakfast time. We eat lunch and dinner at the parks/resorts opting for counter service for lunch and dinner somewhere nice.

I would not characterize Roaring Forks as a Food Court.

I know that the Poynesian and Grand Floridian have 24 hour snack-bar type places. They are about as close to a food court as you can get. The soda machines for the refillable mugs are located there and they have limited selection of hot food items for breakfast/lunch/dinner. They also have the cold stuff, fridges with milk, juices etc. and some bakery items. Definatley not as extensive as the moderate food courts.

We were going to stay at the Beach Club last year, but opted for the Polynesian, since we could refill our mugs more easily. We normally saty at the moderates and are used to the food courts. The moderate food courts have a much bigger selcetion, but they don't have the multiple sit down options that the Deluxes have. Now that we have two kids age 3 and under, that's Ok for us for now.

It is called "the Mara". We were just there last week and it is pretty much the same stuff you find at other food courts. Some "alternative" items though. I am not sure about the other deluxe hotels.

Hi,

The AKL has a foodcourt called Mara. They have pizza, a pasta primavera dish, a fried shrimp plate, soups salads and many other items. You also get your refillable mugs here.

Also, don't forget, CR has a food court! We tried it once and didn't like it but it may be ok in a pinch!

We stayed at both the AKL and the BC on our last trip. The convience of the Mara was missed as I was waiting in line at the makeshift fast food area of the BC. They open the bar area of Cape May in the a.m. and put cereal, muffins, milk, juice, etc out along the bar for a sort of a "continental buffet". As far as I know, it is closest that one may come to a food court area that is available early in the morning

The food courts at the moderates are what typically keep us returning there with a now 4 yr old DS. I really want to stay at the YC but have heard some not so nice things about the lines and morning food at Beaches and Cream. So, for the time being we will stick with the moderates and the food court there. The rooms are fine for 3 people and we seldom eat at the hotel except to grab a bite in the morning and a snack in the evening. Plus, the refillable mugs are very easy to use at the moderates whereas we have also heard some not so favorable comments about them at the BC/YC.

The snack bar at the contemporary is just okay. It is set up like a snackbar type of restaurant. Food was nothign to shout about. The Grand Floridian has a cute little snack bar area and the food there is actually pretty good.
