Do CMs mostly have scrappers?

I read on another thread that more often than not, the CM lanyards are full of scrapper pins. Which kind of makes me sad as I went to the effort to avoid scrappers in buying some pins for the kids to trade next year. As part of my effort in this regard is to help the kids easily spot CMs to help them if they are lost, it is what it is. But just wondering if that is true that we'll likely end up with a bunch of scrapper pins for our real deal ones? TIA!

I get non-scrappers ALL the time. Have I ended up with scrappers? Yep and trade them right back.

But I have noticed, if you trade with management right when they walk from behind the backstage, they are dressed nicely and normally have a trash claw to pick up trash they usually have GREAT pins and are normally not scrappers.

Just look at the pins.....if Ariel has pink hair or snow-white has an orange dress.....don't trade. :goodvibes

I get great pins from CM's! Some of our most amazing pins have been from CM's actually. I just look closely before trading.

I have traded/recieved legit pins with CM's. I have only received one scrapper that I know of. Like Pixiewing said...look at it closely.
It infuriates me when I see people post (usually on another website) that they scored a huge lot of pins for cheap on ebay that they are taking to the parks to trade (usually WDW).

Jana, that gets posted here too, on the Budget Board. And then when I come with my link to legit sellers on the Collector Board I get called a "fanatic".

Hey I listened to you! That's how I knew where to buy!

Fanatic? Wow! Why not a do-gooder??? That sounds more like it ~ LOL
I don't get people these days...anything to save a buck, and not a care for the affect it will have.

Oh...and Pixiewings...when I first came on here and started reading threads about pin trading, etc., I noticed your link in your signature, and I found it extremely helpful and infromative...and bookmarked :goodvibes
I'll admit, I looked at what "lots" were available on ebay, but thought to myself, "These cannot be authentic and I do not want to contribute to the scrapper pin pollution at DL.

I'm glad!! And you didn't call me a fanatic, others have. LOL

I'm glad it helped you!! That's why it's there. Unfortunately when I have a trip ticker that part of my signature gets cut off. But it will be back soon!
I don't like the term fanatic at all, I prefer helpful. I don't get all preachy and in your face about buying scrappers but some of those budget boarders can be judgmental!

I can still see the link, even with your trip ticker.

People?! Judgmental?! The Devil you say! :joker:

I recently decided I needed to become less judgmental. It is more difficult than loosing weight. :confused3
