Do CM's ever trade Star Wars pins?

I'm a total pin trading newbie. DS LOVES Star Wars and has 2 pins. I told him about pin trading, and how lots of people start out by trading with CM's. Now I'm starting to wonder... do CM's actually have Star wars pins to trade?
We are going to WDW in June, over what I believe will be a Star Wars Weekend. Will that increase the chances of trading for Star Wars pins?

One other question: I bought 10 pins (non-Star Wars, all with the official stamp) for him to trade. Am I naive to think 10 is a good number to start with?

As a start, that is good, if he is a beginner. He can get a feel for if he enjoys pin trading.
Now many of us have a theory that one can never have too many pins. And 10 may last us about a half hour.

What are on the cast lanyards are pretty much whatever others have traded to CMs. I have never noticed an increase of SW pins on cast lanyards for SWW.
I don't hunt out Cast lanyards like I use to. But if you happen to see something like that, it is most likely pure fluke.

If there are specific SW pins you wish, you best bet is to buy them or trade for them through individuals, rather than hope to find them on cast lanyards.

I am taking my two nieces to the Pin Trading event the last week (fri, Sat, Sun) of June. I just bought them 20 pins each & I know they will be nagging me for more, before the day is out. I normally take a few hundred pins to trade. Some days I will empty my pin bag and other days I might only trade 30 or 40. Then when I get back to the room I go on to pinpics to see if I picked up any good traders or mark the ones off of my want list that I may have picked up. Then I replenish my bag and start over the next day. I am sure you might see at least one star wars pin on a lanyard. I will bring a few for your son in case we run into you. I wear a green hat with pins on it, drive an ECV, I will have two girls with me. I make our shirts and my name is Chaos Cent. Hope we run into you.

Make sure you go to Tatoonie Traders during the SWW. There will be all sorts of Star Wars pins for sale in that store!

DS found the pin of a storm trooper eating a Mickey bar on a CM lanyard in August. He has also found Goofy as Darth Vader, and a couple others.

He found a Queen Amidala pin that we questioned whether it was technically a "Disney" pin, but he liked it so he traded for it.

I think that is the same one DS has.
We think the queen looks a bit like John Travolta.
