Do CM guest passes have blockout dates?

We have a good friend who is a CM at DLR and has offered us some of her "guest passes" (whatever they're called) as payment for some work my DH did for her.

We have 5 GAD passes for our family but lack a ticket for DS5, who is too young to get one. I am thinking of asking our CM friend for one to use when we go over July 4 weekend (maybe the 3rd or 5th), but wanted to see if there were any restrictions on using the CM passes on busy weekends like that.

Any CMs with some info to share on this or someone who's used one of these passes before?

TIA,
PHXscuba

You should ask your CM friend but I'm pretty sure that the guest passes are blocked out when So Cal APs are, so you would not be able to use one over July 4th weekend. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

This is the same thing I had heard previously, but I sure would check with her.

Drat. I was afraid there'd be blocked days.

It's not a deal-breaker for our day at DL -- I have five free already. But DH reminded me of her offer when I was printing our vouchers. I might save the favor and ask for one to go at Christmastime! I'll e-mail her.

The CM doesn't have to be with you when you use the pass, right?

It would depend on what you were given.

If you were given Cast Complimentary Tickets, you can use them at any time as suits your needs. These would be in the form of a hard plastic card or a Disney's eTicket, depending on when they were issued.

If you were promised entries against her Main Entrance Pass, that would be subject to Blockout Dates. Please note that Main Entrance Pass Blockout Dates are currently only available through the end of May, 2010, in accordance with a new policy this year of only setting Blockout Dates on a rolling three-month basis.

At the Disneyland Resort in California, Main Entrance Pass Blockout Dates are as follows:

Disneyland Park
  • 1-3 January
  • 12-14 February
  • 26-31 March
  • 1-11 April

Disney's California Adventure Park
  • 26-31 March
  • 1-11 April

Thanks Glendais. I was hoping you'd stumble across my little thread and help me sort it. I will have to specifically ask our friend which kind of tickets these are.

So would the July dates be announced in April on the rolling 3-month calendar? I'd have to think that the 4th of July weekend would be blocked out regardless.

Yes, and probably yes.

It sounds like she maybe giving you some of her complimentary tickets which are not subject to any block out dates.
