New to this forum, just wanted a general discussion on characters not park specific. Hope this is the appropriate forum.
I'm going to Disneyland, my very first Disney trip ever, this September. I fully intend on meeting characters even though my family think I'm way too old, lol. One thing I've often wondered while watching some interaction videos is if they ever acknowledge anything from their television shows or sequels, for the characters that have them.
I realize that older shows might not get a response, like the Little Mermaid show, Hercules, Aladdin and Jasmine, Chip and Dale, etc. (the more I think about it, the more I realize lots of these shows have somewhat rare if not even retired characters at the parks...) But what about say Rapunzel and Flynn, any Ducktales characters, if they're at the parks other than Donald. Or Big Hero 6 characters, if they're still at the parks. I am a huge Tangled and Tangled the Series fan. Love both of them to death. I hope so much Rapunzel and Flynn will respond to some bits about the show. Heck, I'm tempted to greet Flynn as Eugene as I'm so used to it from the show, but not sure how he'd respond to it.
Same go for the sequels, which I'm still not sure if many fans or even Disney consider canon.
Is acknowledging information from these shows and sequels kind of considered taboo for the characters? Like they're not allowed to? I understand a really big factor will be the cast member's own knowledge of the character and all of his or her material. I realize it might be expecting a little to highly for them to respond to these smaller productions.
