Do Cdns get pin codes?

We have gotten pins for Disneyland not disney world, still waiting!
I am hoping for one for next spring for our 10th anniv. It would be cool to go with no kids

I surprised my wife with a trip to WDW for her (milestone...) birthday. We had a great time as it was a very different trip with out the kids. Our DDs are in their early 20's but we still felt a bit guilty going alone.

Have a fantastic time!:)

We do and we dont! We have tried to do a trip a year just the 2 of us somewhere,, even for just a weekend away, but have not had the chance since Mexico early 2009 when we came home with a little surprise who is almost 2!!:rotfl::confused3

We would love to go since there is some things the little ones have no patience for (waiting for some shows) and sit down resturants are not as enjoyable at this point and we would love to try a few out!

Do pin codes come by email or snail mail??

Pin Codes for Canadians:

What I have noticed from our experience, is that I started receiving Pin Code offers by email, after we began booking our Disney trips either on-line or through Disney Central Reservations.

Disney also will offer special deals which you can always check on by clicking on the Special Offers link at www.disneyworld.com

Last year we booked through an independant agent and she was able to apply any specials to save us money. Someone who deals with Disney related trips is the best way to go if you need help.

Good luck and happy planning.pirate:

POFQ in August 2012!!!

We've received them both ways but usually email. Some years we get several, some like this year only one and even none. It depends on whether you meet their marketing criteria for that praticular promo and only they know what those are.

I have several account on Disney site and I have to say tha tthe ones that I use the less are the ones where I get the pins at. This year I received the same pin in 2 out of 4 accounts for the same promos in the spring and 1 pin in the same accounts for late summer.

When we had a free dinning pin I did not get any info saying we had one. I just happened to call to book our vacation for last May and asked if I had any pin codes attached to my name and they said yes you have the free dinning pin. It never hurts to ask!

Just got our PIN code for free dining...We are waiting to book our flights first so we haven't booked our resort stay yet and we just got a PIN tonight!!! So excited. I called last week for a quote and it is approx. $500 cheaper with the PIN for free dining!!!:banana::banana:

Would you mind sharing the dates? I had DH call last week to ask if he had a PIN and the CM said that new ones would be out in a week or two. We're hoping to get one for July.

My DH gets the PIN codes all the time in his email. Never once has he been on the Disney website (I signed him up) and never once has he booked a trip. I do all the booking and I'm always the lead name on the ressie with my email. Only one time did I get a PIN and it came via snail mail...about 2 years ago.

Just got a PIN for FD tonight

I'm disappointed to read Disney has lowered the FD plan for stays at Moderate Resorts. In the past it's been the DDP for Moderates.

We prefer the DDP. By the time we added the costs of upgrading to the DDP and paying extra for a fridge, it was only about $200 more to switch from POP to CSR. And that was worth it for us with the bonus of queen beds, pool slide for the kids and shaded bus shelter.

In fact, at some point during 2010 Disney overbooked the values to the point where people were being given free upgrades to moderate resorts! Makes me wonder how many people will not want to pay the extra cost of a moderate and just stay at a value if they have to pay to upgrade to the DDP. If many feel the same way, the values could become overbooked again.

For example, 2 adults, 12 & 7 year olds - 7 nights (march 10-17) with 7-day PH tickets at CSR = $3,046.97

Same as above at POP:
$2,512.13 - package
$ 84.00 - fridge for 7 nights at $12/night
$2,596.13

With the FD staying at QSDP for both value & moderate - that makes a $450.84 price difference. For just 7 nights, I would give up the queen beds, stay at POP and use the extra $450 on other things.

But if Disney kept the FD DDP at the moderates, CSR would actually be $136.18 cheaper than POP based on the scenario above! :scared1:

Hmm... interesting. I did the math twice...

Ok, same scenario only for June 9-16. Now CSR would be $218.10 cheaper if Disney offered free DDP to moderates! (vs POP & upgrading to DDP).

No wonder! Disney must have realized this as well and that's why they are only offering QSDP free this time around. Otherwise the moderates would be overbooked and I'm sure Disney would not want to upgrade people to deluxes if they could help it! :)

(based on the adults/kids - FD QSDP to DDP upgrade would cost $587.02 for the 7 nights - peak season rates)

I have about 4 email address's on the site and have had them there for about 5 years but have never received a pin. I'm going in October so it would probably be a little early but it would still be nice to receive one. I booked my trip last week so maybe I will get one.

we were lucky engough to have gotten 3 pin codes at different times of the year

Last month before I left for WDW they sent me a PIN code w in the mail which was good from Janurary 1, 2012 - March 31, 2012, that went up to 35%off the Deluxe Resorts and it was the very 1st time I ever got one. However since I don't travel between those dates I couldn't end up using it.

Although since I have an Annual Pass I can wait for AP rates to be released and last month I was at WDW I got a 35% Room Only Bounceback offer and used it to reserve a Standard Club Level Room for this August at the Boardwalk Inn. So for myself getting the PIN code was nice and I am not disappointed about not being able to use it based on those circumstances.

Pin Code Offers

Hello! I live in Canada, and have received Pin Code Offers via e-mail several times. Don't give up, I truly believe it's random.

I don't know if there is any connection, but I've booked all of my trips directly through the Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disney Cruise Line websites. Again, I don't know if this is the reason, just stating my situation.

Good luck and hang in there.

My daughter got a pin code for 35% off,but even with that, renting from a dvc member is still cheaper.Six nights at saratoga in a 2 bedroom, with the discount comes in close to 2800 in january;with dvc at 10$ a point 2060.AK in a standard 2 bedroom is 190 points or 1900 dollars at 10 bucks a point.

Either I or my husband get them all the time. I just got a Free Dining (which was the DDP at mods) or up to you 35% off. My husband got it too. I have no idea why some get them and others don't.
