Do boys do the princess meals or are these mostly geared for girls? Please tell me what your preschool boys did if you took them to see the princess meals.

My son was 6 on our list trip and he requested to eat at the castle with the princesses. and he's a kid who's big into g.i. joe, star wars, xmen, etc.

Did he dress up in anything? Did he totally get into it? Was he the only boy there?

(since I do not have girls, I get a little "emotional" when I see all the girls get all princessed up) We have 4 boys, no girls ;(

No, he didnt' get dressed up, but neither did my dd2-they just wore nicer clothes than they did on other park days. :)
He loved it. And i told him next time we go to WDW, most likely in Nov 10, we won't be eating at the castle since it used up 2 TS and I can't afford this time around to pay oop, he was super disappointed. But i told him we'd try to get into the Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian and he was pretty happy. It's just neat that he loves the princesses too (would never admit that to his friends) becuase he's just such a rough and tough little guy who loves the harder/scarier type of things normally. We're going to see Disney Princesses on Ice this sunday and he's excited!:thumbsup2

My son loved the dinner with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare. He even got chosen to dance with Cinderella. He is so in love with her now:lovestruc

We will be dining at CRT twice on this next trip. He is so excited about it. :thumbsup2

My son will never admit that he likes eating with the princesses.... but I do notice a bashful smile when they 'flirt' with him! What he WILL admit is that he LOVES eating in the castle. I think that is neat for any kid, boy or girl. It's just so iconic! My sons never dressed up, but I have seen boys in Pirate garb.

My son (5) loves Akershus and 1900 PF. And he does dressup - Hercules, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Obi wan Kenobi - depends on the day. DD2 dresses up as well. I will say hercules got him plenty of attention at 1900 PF! Little boys loves princesses too! As my DH would say - what man wouldn't want dinner with several beautiful ladies?

Yay! I think I better figure when to put it in the schedule!

my son is 1 1/2 but he loves the princesses (except Aurora every time he meets her he like gives her a yuck face and runs to Belle)....and the princesses are always sweet to him..snow white gave my son a kiss on his forehead and she had RED lipstick on..it was too cute..

but I will add..I have seen other families with just boys eating at the princess dinners/breakfast (haven't done CRT so not sure about that one).

We are taking our will be 4.5 year old boy to Akershus in April. We think it will be our last chance to take him to a princess meal.

We were wondering about dressing him up. He loves to dress up. We might bring his pirate halloween outfit.

We took my 3 year old son to lunch at the castle. He was very excited about going inside the castle.

He wore a prince charming tunic that my friend had made for him for a princess b-day party. This was a big hit with the princesses. He found the "face" characters took a little getting to used to. He has no problem with the regular characters but the princesses made him a little shy.

He also likes the sword they gave him.

My son was 4 when we did the Princess Lunch at Akershush in Epcot, my daughter was 3. Of course, it was mainly for my daughter, but my son did enjoy the characters too. The princesses talked to him and gave him hugs and lots of attention as well, called him a "little prince charming" and a "handsome prince" and asked him if he had a princess.... Snow white even gave him a kiss and he was smitten! It was very cute and he enjoyed all the attention. Probably not as much as he would have enjoyed having lunch with the Wolverine or Transformers or Pirates - but he was just fine and even told us he wants to do it again! There were also other boys there (lots of big and little brothers).

My boys LOVE princess meals!! DS #2 loves to look at them and is too shy to get too close. DS #1 LOVES them and gets a coy smile every time. We went to CRT first time. Went to Ariel's in DL and are going to Epcot princess this month!

My 5 1/2 yo son is looking forward to the CRT & 1900 Park Fare dinners. He wants to know what he's wearing since his sister has the pink & the blue Cinderella dresses planned out already. I'm not sure yet- maybe a pirate one day and a frontier boy the other. (bc that costume was on sale )

To answer your thread title question, "they do if I tell them to"

Last trip we went to 1900 Park Fare, we took DD 9 dressed as Jasmine (homemade outfit) and DS 6 dressed as a stormtrooper (it was Star Wars Weekends and why should he miss out on some dress up fun??) The characters were great about it and kept commenting that he was there to protect the castle. He wasn't bothered by it one bit, but then again there is only one princess here and the boys are represented as well (the prince).

Hope this helps, have a great time.

My DS12 didn't dress up. He wore his Stich hat and regular clothes. When he met the princesses he would hold their arm and then tell me what a gentleman his is. :)

My boys love to eat with the princesses. They've never been the only boys there. They don't wear costumes unless we are on our way to MNSSHP.

My son was 2 when we first started taking him to Disney. I wanted to go to CRT for my birthday and he loved it...the princess actaully gave him extra attention b/c they took alot of time at our time compare to 4 other tables of around us that had princessess. The Princess talked to him, gave hug and kisses and signed his book. He is 4 now and asked if we can eat at the castle again. We took him to 1900 Dinner, and Cinderella came over to our table and asked him if he wants a special dance with her (that was a picture moment for him and a video moment for dad) and after the dance the step sisters came over and asked if he wants to dance with them and my son said no and they kept saying you want to marry me inside of Cinderella and he said no he will not marry anyone but he did get alot of attention from this 2 restaurants.

My son loves princesses - he'll be 3 on our next trip, and he'll still be there getting kisses from the girls!

Honestly, we raise our 2 children to be non-gender specific. It's great having a boy and girl as they both play with each other's toys and such. He has grown up on princesses, and so for him, they are normal and he enjoys them, and we know he isn't the only one, as we've eaten at all princess meals, multiple times, and we always see other boys in attendance each and every time.

Have a great time, Tiger :)

When we last did CRT, there were several little boys. As you enter the staircase little girls were given magic wands and little "princes" were given swords.
